Opal

Opal is such a dramatic little girl. We have a love/hate relationship. Does that mean we are too similar? She is very manipulative and and bossy. She is the ruler of us all. Jeremy and I both agreed that she will be the one that will handle and take care of whatever needs to be done, but she will only do it her way. There is no compromising. She is such a girly girl. We love to play dress up a little too much, so all the dress up clothes disappeared. She is doing very well with potty training. It is so nice to have fewer kids in diapers, but hard to train them to do it themselves. She requires an audience in the restroom with her. Luckily for me, it is usually her dad. She is starting to really us words and some small sentences. I am hoping she will still be able to go to preschool in March. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Nora

Just thought you would all like a update about each of my kids. Nora will be 6 months old in 3 days. Time sure has gone by so quickly for us recently. She is 12 lbs 14oz or maybe not. I am not really good at remembering all of the specifics, even though we just were at the doctor's office on the 23rd. My brain is really fried. She is just starting to try out new foods. She seems to be enjoying them and I hope she will be a good eater, hopefully not too picky. She gets to go to therapy once every other week right now. We are still trying to get her to roll over, but she is getting close. She loves to lay on her back, but is not really willing to be in many other positions. Hopefully she will be sitting up soon and entertaining herself with her toys a little more.

Merry Christmas???

The right after you wake up pictures. And just think this is after they saw the presents under the tree. I am not sure if it just hadn't sunk in yet, or if it ever did, that this was a special day. They did finally warm up to the idea of opening presents, and I would even venture far enough to say they were happy with the things they got.

Trying to get the kids to stay around the Christmas tree was enough challenge for one day. Cal and Opal decorated it for us. Lucky for us they took all the decorations off again and so today we were able to actually decorate our tree. We will see how long we can keep all of the decorations on the tree.
It really is great that you can entertain kids with such simple things. Cal really has a great imagination, I just wonder what he is thinking. I am pretty sure this was his bazooka. At least no one was actually killed, only a few injuries.
Nora is growing up so fast. It is really hard to believe she will be 6 months at the end of this month.

Happy Birthday, Mom

I love you. Thank you for being my mom. I am forever grateful for the opportunity of being your daughter. I hope I can be as great of an example to my kids and those around me as you were to me. I love you and miss you a lot.

Feeling left out...

Every one has updated their blog. I am feeling left out so I had to do something. No cute pictures, no Christmas tree yet...

I am planning to get our pictures taken, I can't seem to find any clothes for us all to wear. I am thinking topless? I mean when you just get shots of our legs, not without shirts... You all have dirty minds. What are your opinions?

Playing in the Leaves

While we were waiting for Cal's bus to come we had a chance to play in the leaves. Always a fun way to mess up our clothes and hair. That is if it gets done before we go anyways. At least they did help put a few leaves in the garbage can. The rest of the time the were undoing the work we had done, but all in good fun.
